śrī saccidānanda śivābhinava nṛsiṃha bhāratī mahāa svāmījī
Image result for sharadamba श्रीसच्चिदानन्दशिवाभिनव्यनृसिंहभारत्यभिधान् यतीन्द्रान्। विद्यानिधीन् मन्त्रनिधीन् सदात्मनिष्ठान् भजे मानवशम्भुरूपान्॥ The beauty of this Sharada stotra is that Acharya is not directly offering his salutations to Sharada – he does namaskara to ‘that glory’ (using words in the neuter gender) that has the name of Sharada.

शृङ्गाद्रिवासाय विधिप्रियाय कारुण्यवाराम्बुधये नताय । विज्ञानदायाखिलभोगदाय श्रीशारदाख्याय नमो महिम्ने ॥ १॥

śṛṅgādrivāsāya vidhipriyāya kāruṇyavārāmbudhaye natāya । vijñānadāyākhilabhogadāya śrīśāradākhyāya namo mahimne ॥ 1॥ Salutations to that glory, which resides in Sringeri, is dear to Brahma, is an ocean of compassion to its devotees, that gives knowledge and earthly comforts, and goes by the name of Sri Sharada. तुङ्गातटावासकृतादराय भृङ्गालिविद्वेषिकचोज्ज्वलाय । अङ्गाधरीभूतमनोज्ञहेम्ने शृङ्गारसीम्नेऽस्तु नमो महिम्ने  ॥ २॥ tuṅgātaṭāvāsakṛtādarāya bhṛṅgālividveṣikacojjvalāya । aṅgādharībhūtamanojñahemne   śṛṅgārasīmne’stu namo mahimne  ॥ 2॥ Salutations to that glory, which is fond of residing on the banks of the Tunga River, whose lustrous hair rivals bees (in blackness), which, through the luster of its limbs has cast down even gold, and that is a storehouse of beauty. वीणालसत्पाणिसरोरुहाय शोणाधरायाखिलभाग्यदाय । काणादशास्त्रप्रमुखेषु चण्ड-प्रज्ञाप्रदायास्तु नमो महिम्ने  ॥ ३॥ vīṇālasatpāṇisaroruhāya śoṇādharāyākhilabhāgyadāya । kāṇādaśāstrapramukheṣu caṇḍa-prajñāpradāyāstu namo mahimne  ॥ 3॥ Salutations to that glory, whose hand shines with a veena, whose lips are red, who gives good fortune, and who gives great knowledge of the shastras, such as those seen by Kanada, the sage of the Vaisheshika darshana. चन्द्रप्रभायेशसहोदराय चन्द्रार्भकालङ्कृतमस्तकाय । इन्द्रादिदेवोत्तमपूजिताय कारुण्यसान्द्राय नमो महिम्ने ॥ ४॥ candraprabhāyeśasahodarāya candrārbhakālaṅkṛtamastakāya । indrādidevottamapūjitāya kāruṇyasāndrāya namo mahimne ॥ 4॥ Salutations to that glory, which shines with the white glow of the moon, which is Shiva’s sibling, whose head is adorned by the crescent moon, which is worshipped by Indra and other eminent gods, and which is verily great compassion itself. ॥इति श्रीशारदामहिम्नस्तवः॥ Transcribed and meaning written by : Lalith Gannavaram
